Product notes · Release planning

Ready means
recoverable.

A launch checklist is more useful when it asks how the team will notice and recover from a problem, not only whether the feature works on one device.

On-delo Product Notes · 16 October 2026

1. The user journey

2. Devices and environments

3. Data, privacy and safety

4. Support and operations

5. A staged release and recovery plan

Choose a release size the team can support. For a limited rollout, decide in advance what signals would pause expansion: a broken core journey, an unexpected rise in failures, data loss, or a safety issue. Write down how to disable a risky feature or restore the prior version. A rollback plan should be tested enough that the people on call know where to start.

6. A clear go/no-go decision

Before release, write a short decision record:

Not every issue blocks every release. The team should record the remaining risk, its impact and the reason for proceeding, then revisit the decision when new evidence appears.
